If you can describe it,
it can probably be engraved
Dank's Lazer Engraving has been providing engraving services to Marshalltown, Iowa for years. It is a one-person shop run by owner Scott Dankbar, which means the person who quotes your job is the person who runs the laser and hands it back to you.
That is also why the odd requests get said yes to. Sixty engraved trowels for a Marshalltown manufacturer. Bullet shell casings for a veteran organisation. Canvas art, memorial pieces, and stainless steel artwork that is still hanging around town. Doing things outside the box is the actual job description.
Four steps, one phone call
Tell us the idea
Call, message or send the photo. Rough sketches and half-formed ideas are welcome — that is the normal starting point.
Pick the material
Wood, acrylic, marble, granite, crystal, glass, leather or stainless. We will tell you honestly what engraves well and what does not.
Approve the layout
Artwork is prepared and sized to the piece, and nothing goes under the laser until you have agreed on how it will look.
Collect or we come to you
Pick up at the Reed Avenue shop, or book mobile engraving and the laser comes to your event instead.
Mobile engraving on site
The laser does not have to stay in the shop. Mobile engraving brings live personalisation to fundraisers, corporate gifting days, retail promotions and community events — guests watch their piece being made instead of collecting it a week later.
